From Rotoworld: Castillo surrendered three runs over six innings Thursday against the Padres. Castillo has gone 10 straight starts to open his career without ever allowing more than four runs. His 2-5 record and 3.73 ERA haven’t made him a fantasy stud, but he’s been remarkably solid for a guy who jumped right from Double-A to the majors.
Hendricks allowed one run on five hits over 4 2/3 innings while taking a no-decision in Wednesday’s loss to the Giants. Hendricks struck out five and walked three on the afternoon. Outside of an RBI single surrendered to Joe Panik in the second inning, he managed to keep the scoreboard clean over his 4 2/3 frames on the mound. The 27-year-old right-hander will bring a 3.70 ERA and 1.25 WHIP into a home start against the Reds when he next takes the ball.
Bet Tonight’s Reds vs. Cubs Game
OUR PREDICTION: The Cubs are a perfect 4-0 in Hendricks’ last four starts versus the Reds, are 4-1 in his last five home outings versus Cincinnati, and are 8-2 in their last 10 games after allowing five runs or more in their previous contest. On the other side, the Reds are 10-21 in their last 31 games overall, are 13-38 in their last 51 games versus the Cubs, and have dropped 20 of their last 26 games in Chicago.
