From Rotoworld: Peacock allowed a lone run over 6 1/3 innings, scattering seven hits in a no-decision against the White Sox. Peacock walked one and struck out five and left in line for his 11th win of the year, but the bullpen had some late hiccups to leave the right-hander without a say in the matter. It was still nice to see him perform well after a disastrous start his last time out. Thursday’s showing was more in line with what the 29-year-old has done this year, as Peacock is 10-1 with a 3.07 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 112/44 K/BB ratio in what’s been a breakout season. An interleague scrap with the Diamondbacks is on the agenda for Tuesday.
Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Friday that Banda will make another start for the club on Tuesday against the Astros. The 23-year-old left-hander has compiled a 4.60 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 16/5 K/BB ratio over 15 2/3 innings in his first three starts at the big league level. He isn’t a recommended streaming option against the juggernaut that is the Astros’ offense however.
