OUR PREDICTION
Ray has made bettors plenty of money since the beginning of last season. The Diamondbacks are 21-8 in his starts since April of 2017, winning by an average margin of 3.1 runs per game. I think there’s plenty of value in backing Ray and Arizona, which will face Adam Wainwright in perhaps the veteran’s final home opener for the Cardinals. Wainwright put together an excellent spring training but he suffered a hamstring injury two weeks ago, which forced him to miss his first scheduled start on the season. He also hasn’t been good in three years. I expect him to be over-amped tonight, which will eventually lead to mistakes in favor of the D-Backs. Arizona is 17-5 in Ray’s last 22 starts and 5-1 in his last six road outings.
THURSDAY MLB PREDICTION: ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS +105
