From Rotoworld: Wood held the Braves to one run over six innings Thursday, earning a win in the process. Facing his old team, Wood scattered seven hits and two walks in what was not his most efficient outing, but still an effective one. The win improved him to 13-1 on the year and righted the ship after he’d had two of his worst starts this year in his previous two times out. That Thursday’s outing wasn’t a dominant one, either, offers some reason to temper optimism, but it’s not as though owners can bench a guy who’s going to garner Cy Young votes at season’s end. We’ll see where the 26-year-old is at when he takes on the Diamondbacks in Arizona next Wednesday.

Greinke surrendered six runs in six-plus innings Thursday in a no-decision versus the Cubs. Greinke, who returned after an early rain delay, allowed two runs through five before giving up three in the sixth. He was sent back out for the seventh anyway, only to be pulled after an infield single. That runner eventually came around to score, making this the first time all season that Greinke has allowed six runs. He still struck out eight and walked none for the day.
