Rockies vs. Giants Prediction
Will the Giants complete their series sweep of the Rockies tonight when the rivals clash at 3:45PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Giants are -102 on the money line to beat the Rockies, who are favored at -108. With Kyle Freeland set to face Ty Blach in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 8.5 runs.

Freeland gave up five runs and 10 hits in six innings Friday in a loss to the Dodgers. Freeland’s last two road starts haven’t gone particularly well, as he’s given up five runs on each. At Coors Field, he’s managed to turn in five straight quality starts and given up a total of two runs in the last two. He has another road start coming up, but since it’s against the Giants, he seems to be a safe play. (Via Rotoworld)
Blach was lit up for seven runs and 11 hits in three innings by the Mets on Friday. That’s going to be a real Blach mark on his record. The lefty has given up 24 runs over 21 1/3 innings in his last four starts, taking his ERA from 3.24 to 4.86. His rotation spot is probably safe for the moment, but one more bad start should change that.
Bet Today’s Rockies vs. Giants Game
OUR PREDICTION: I don’t like the Giants to win three straight games given their current state. The Rockies, despite losing back-to-back games in San Francisco over the last two days, are still 9-2 in their last 11 games versus the Giants. Plus, Colorado is 6-2 in Freeland’s last eight road starts and is 9-4 in his last 13 outings. The Giants, meanwhile, are 7-21 in their last 28 games overall, are 0-4 in Blach’s last four starts, and are 2-5 in his last seven home outings.
