MLB Predictions: Will Indians take second game vs. Giants at AT&T? 7/18/17

Indians vs. Giants Prediction

After snapping their losing streak last night, will the Indians make it two straight versus the Giants tonight at 10:15PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Indians are -130 money line favorites versus the Giants, who have odds of +120 to pull off the upset at home. With Mike Clevinger set to face Ty Blach in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 8.5 runs.

From Rotoworld: Clevinger held the Tigers scoreless over six innings en route to a 4-0 Indians victory Saturday. Clevinger gave up a pair of singles and a J.D. Martinez double over his six frames, walking two while striking out four. It was the third consecutive start in which he’s gone six innings with zero or one run allowed, lowering his ERA to 3.00 in the process. The 26-year-old heads into the break on a three-game winning streak, sitting at 5-3 overall. He’ll be one to watch in the season’s second half.

Blach turned in a quality start and was credited with a 5-4 win over the Tigers on Wednesday. He allowed three runs in six innings to meet the bare minimum requirements for a quality start but it was good enough to get the job done. He allowed six base hits and issued one free pass while striking out two. He improves to 6-5 with a 4.60 ERA after 14 starts. His 4.21 strikeouts per nine innings is the lowest among all qualified starters in the major leagues.

Bet Tonight’s Indians vs. Giants Game

OUR PREDICTION: The Indians are 5-1 in Clevinger’s last six road starts, are 4-1 in his last five outings overall, and are a perfect 4-0 in his last four starts when he receives nine or more days of rest in between outings. The Giants, meanwhile, are 1-7 in their last eight games overall, are winless at 0-4 in their last four home games, and are 9-23 in their last 32 games coming off a loss. I like Cleveland to make it two straight at AT&T Park tonight.
