Indians vs. Red Sox Prediction

Will tonight’s Indians and Red Sox matchup at 6:10PM ET fall under the betting total in Boston?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Indians are -118 money line favorites to beat the Red Sox, who have odds of -105 to pull off the small upset at home. With Trevor Bauer set to face Doug Fister in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 10 runs.

From Rotoworld: Bauer struck out nine across seven innings of one-run ball but settled for a no-decision in Tuesday’s extra-innings loss to the Rockies. The light-hitting Alexi Amarista managed to go deep off of Bauer in the third inning, but that’s all the Rockies were able to put together off the right-hander. For just the third time this season, Bauer issued no walks in the game. He’s been superb his last three times out, allowing just one run in each outing while collecting a 22/3 K/BB ratio over 22 innings. Bauer takes on the Red Sox and Royals on the road next week.

Fister gave up three earned runs over 6 1/3 innings Sunday in a win over the White Sox. Fister allowed eight hits, but he struck out seven batters while issuing zero walks and Boston’s offense backed him with six runs in the afternoon victory at Fenway Park. Fister has a 5.03 ERA and 1.55 WHIP in 39 1/3 innings (six starts, three relief appearances) this season.

Bet Tonight’s Indians vs. Red Sox Game

OUR PREDICTION: The under is 4-1-1 in the last six meetings between these two teams in Boston and is 6-2-1 in the last nine meetings overall. The under is also 6-2-1 in Bauer’s last nine starts, is 33-13-5 in his last 51 outings on the road, and is 5-2-2 in his last nine starts versus American League East opponents. On the other side, the under is 18-7-1 in the Red Sox’ last 26 home games and is 18-7-1 in their last 26 home games versus a right-handed starter.
