CARDINALS KEY TRENDS: The Cardinals are back to playing good ball, winning five of their last six games overall and going 5-1 in their last six games versus a right-handed starter. They’re also 5-1 in their last six games against National League Central opponents and have won eight of their last 11 games after allowing two runs or less in their previous contest. That said, despite winning twice in Milwaukee, they’re just 3-7 in their last 10 road games.

BREWERS KEY TRENDS: The Brewers have now dropped four of their last five games after losing 4-1 to the Cardinals on Saturday. They’re also 1-4 in their last five home games, are 1-4 in their last five divisional games, and and 1-4 in their last five home games when taking on team with a losing record. They’ve dropped five of their last six home games versus a right-handed starter as well.

Bet Today’s Cardinals vs. Brewers game

OUR PREDICTION: The Cardinals have won 38 of their last 53 meetings with the Brewers in Milwaukee and 38 of the last 55 meetings overall. The Brewers are also just 2-6 in Nelson’s last eight starts against the Cardinals and are 2-5 in his last seven home starts. Milwaukee has dropped 17 of Nelson’s last 24 starts as well, and with Leake pitching as well as he is thus far, today is a great opportunity to bounce on the Cardinals.
