From Rotoworld: Adleman surrendered five earned runs over six-plus innings Monday in a loss to the Indians. Adleman made it to the bottom of the seventh in this one, but he was lifted with zero outs in that frame after yielding a leadoff homer to Carlos Santana and a walk to Giovanny Urshela. On the night, the right-hander issued three free passes and allowed six hits while striking out four. He’ll bring a 5-8 record and 5.11 ERA into his next start on the road versus the Marlins.
Conley fired seven scoreless innings Monday in the Marlins’ defeat of the Rangers. Conley gave up seven hits, but six of those were singles and he tallied five strikeouts against zero walks over his seven impressive frames. The 27-year-old left-hander still carries a disappointing 5.62 ERA and 1.49 WHIP on the season, but he’s capable of a strong finish. A home matchup against the last-place Reds will come next.
