From Rotoworld: Straily turned in a quality start in Sunday’s win over the Brewers, surrendering three runs on five hits over six innings. Straily struck out a modest four while walking one in the afternoon outing. He coughed up a pair of solo homers in the outing, one to Eric Thames and one to Orlando Arcia. In 17 starts this season, Straily owns a respectable 3.51 ERA and 1.09 WHIP. Consistency has been the name of his game — he has allowed more than three runs in just three outings, never more than four. Up next on his schedule before the Brewers head into the All-Star break, a road date with the Giants.
Moore walked six but held the Pirates to one run over 5 2/3 innings in a no-decision Saturday. Moore didn’t seem to know where it was going most of the time; fortunately for him, the Bucs hitters didn’t, either. He gave up four hits and struck out five as well, leaving with the game tied 1-1. The no-decision keeps the 28-year-old’s record at 3-8 with a 5.78 ERA and 1.62 WHIP through 17 starts. He’ll look to keep improving when he takes on the Marlins on Friday.
