Latest on Martinez via Rotoworld: Martinez worked two scoreless innings in the MLB All-Star Game on Tuesday night. Martinez was the only National League pitcher to work multiple frames and he did it with flair, pumping 100 mph fastballs and wicked off-speed stuff past some of the best hitters in the American League. He racked up four strikeouts — three in the top of the fourth. The 25-year-old right-hander carries a 3.40 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and 9.9 K/9 into the second half.

Williams was tagged for three runs in 3 2/3 innings in a loss to the Cubs on Friday. All three runs scored in the fourth inning. Williams retired the first two batters he faced in the frame, but he gave up a single to Ben Zobrist before Kris Bryant brought him home on a triple. Anthony Rizzo then followed with a two-run homer to chase him from the game. Williams struck out three and walked a pair in the loss and now sits at 3-4 with a 4.80 ERA on the year.

Bet Today’s Cardinals vs. Pirates Game

OUR PREDICTION: The Cardinals have won six of their last eight games in Pittsburgh and are now 11-4 in their last 15 games versus the Pirates overall after winning on Saturday night. The Pirates, meanwhile, are just 1-4 in their last five home games, are winless at 0-5 in Williams’ last five starts, and have dropped five of seven home games when facing a right-handed starter.
