According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Astros are -118 money line favorites versus the Angels, who have odds of -105 to pull off what would be a small upset at home. With McHugh set to face Parker Bridwell in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 9 runs.

From Rotoworld: McHugh fired six scoreless innings in the Astros’ 3-0 shutout of the Athletics on Saturday. McHugh scattered six hits and a walk, using three strikeouts to get through six innings unscathed. The victory was the first of the year in six starts for the 30-year-old, who didn’t make his debut until July 22. He’s had one clunker but has largely been decent in those six starts, owning a 4.01 ERA and 1.31 WHIP. He’ll try to make it two in a row Friday at the Angels.

Bridwell allowed four runs — two earned — over five-plus innings Sunday in a no-decision versus the Orioles. Anaheim eventually won the game 5-4, with the decision going to reliever Cam Bedrosian. Bridwell was pitching well until the bottom of the sixth inning, when the Orioles managed three runs on three singles and a ground-rule double. The 26-year-old right-hander will carry a sharp 7-1 record, 2.92 ERA, and 1.18 WHIP into his next start at home against the AL West-leading Astros.

Bet Tonight’s Astros vs. Angels Game

OUR PREDICTION: The Astros are 8-0 in McHugh’s last eight starts versus the Angels and are 4-0 in his last four road outings versus Los Angeles. Houston has also won eight of its last 11 games in Los Angeles and is 19-9 in its last 28 games versus the Angels overall.
