From Rotoworld: Matz was outstanding in a no-decision against the Nationals on Monday, scattering four hits and two walks over seven scoreless innings. Matz struck out four on the afternoon. As good as he was though, Stephen Strasburg matched his zeroes and the Mets were unable to scratch out a run for him. Matz has been terrific since returning from the disabled list and now boasts a 2.12 ERA and 1.03 WHIP on the season. He’ll close out the first half on Sunday against the Cardinals in St. Louis.
Lynn yielded four runs — two earned — over 5 1/3 innings Tuesday as the Cardinals fell to the Marlins. Lynn posted zeros until the top of the sixth inning, when the Marlins exploded for five runs — with the biggest blow coming via a go-ahead three-run homer by Christian Yelich. Lynn struck out five while walking one and surrendering six total hits. He’ll carry a 6-6 record and 3.87 ERA into his next start at home versus the Mets
