From Rotoworld: Gonzalez struck out nine batters over six innings of one-run ball Saturday in a no-decision versus the Rangers. Gonzalez allowed just three hits and one walk and he left the game with Washington leading 3-1, but Koda Glover blew a save in the ninth inning and the Nationals lost in 11 innings. Gonzalez stands 5-1 with a sharp 2.91 ERA in 13 starts this season. He’ll face the Mets on the road next.
Gsellman hurled 6 2/3 shutout innings for his third straight win Saturday against the Braves. He limited Atlanta to three hits and two walks while delivering six strikeouts. Gsellman briefly lost his spot in the rotation after getting off to a poor start this year, but has turned the corner by going undefeated with a 2.16 ERA over his last four outings. Granted, three of those starts have come against teams with losing records (the Braves, Pirates and Padres), but fantasy owners obviously aren’t complaining. It will be interesting to see how the Mets use Gsellman going forward now that Seth Lugo and Steven Matz are both back from the disabled list.
