From Rotoworld: Roark took a beating in Sunday’s loss to the Reds, allowing nine hits and six runs over six mediocre innings. He struck out seven while handing out two free passes. Roark got off to a dreadful start, yielding five runs in the first and one more in the second. In the first inning, he allowed Cincinnati’s first four hitters to reach before finally getting his first out on a fielder’s choice by Scott Schebler. Roark eventually settled down, allowing just one hit over his last four innings to preserve the bullpen. The right-hander has regressed badly this year, producing an ugly 5.15 ERA over 16 starts.
Leake logged a quality start in Sunday’s no-decision against the Pirates, allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits over six frames. Leake struck out two and walked two in the contest. The Pirates touched him up for three runs in the third inning and added another in the fourth, but Leake was able to keep the train on the tracks and fire another pair of scoreless innings before departing. While his performance has slid a bid recently, he still sports a terrific 3.12 ERA and 1.09 WHIP on the season.
