OUR PREDICTION
Gonzalez is coming off a great season, posting a 15-9 record to go along with a 2.96 ERA in 201 innings of work. He struck out 188 batters in those 201 innings and is entering a contract year. While he might have some trouble with guys like Adam Duvall, Gonzalez is excellent against left-handers and should otherwise carve up Cincinnati lineup. On the other side, Adam Eaton and Bryce Harper should thrive against Romano, a mediocre starter. The Nationals are 9-4 in Gonzalez’s last 13 road starts and 4-1 in his last five road outings when facing a team with a losing record.
