From Rotoworld: Kuhl struck out a career-high seven batters in a no-decision Monday versus the Brewers. Pittsburgh went on to win the game with another late rally, after Kuhl limited the dangerous Milwaukee offense to two runs on four hits and three walks. He was involved in an ugly home-plate collision with Brewers catcher Stephen Vogt in the bottom of the fifth inning, but the right-hander escaped serious injury and faced four batters in the top of the sixth before exiting. Kuhl will carry a 4.85 ERA into his next start on the road against the Rockies.
Marquez yielded three runs in 6 2/3 innings and struck out nine in beating the Padres on Monday. Marquez was lit up for eight runs by the Nationals in his 2017 debut on April 25. Since then, he’s 7-3 with a 2.96 ERA and a 74/25 K/BB ratio in 79 innings. Just 22, he should rightfully be viewed as one of the NL’s top young pitchers.
