According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Pirates are -150 money line favorites versus the Marlins, who have odds of +130 to pull off the upset in Pittsburgh. As for the total, the number hit the board at 9 and that’s where it currently sits with Jeff Locke set to face Ivan Nova in the pitching matchup.

Latest on Rotoworld: Locke yielded four runs — three earned — in 4 2/3 innings Tuesday in a loss to the Cubs. Locke pitched well in his first start of the year Thursday, but he’d be a better bet in middle relief than in the rotation going forward. The Marlins, with few alternatives, will stick with him as a starter for now.
Nova has been diagnosed with left knee inflammation. Nova exited with a trainer in the bottom of the seventh inning Tuesday night at Camden Yards after surrendering back-to-back homers to Chris Davis and Jonathan Schoop. The right-hander will be reevaluated on Wednesday. He gave up three total runs in the game, on five hits and a walk. He’s scheduled to make today’s start.
