From Rotoworld: Cole was fantastic in Monday’s victory over the Brewers, scattering three hits over seven innings of one-run ball. The right-hander punched out five on the evening while walking two. The only blemish on his night was a solo homer off the bat of Travis Shaw in the second inning. It’s the second straight strong outing from Cole who looks to be turning his season around. He now sits at 5-6 on the season with a 4.28 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 74/22 K/BB ratio across 90 1/3 innings on the season. He’ll look to run his winning streak to three on Saturday against the Cardinals in St. Louis.
Lynn was shelled for seven earned runs over 4 2/3 innings Sunday as the Cardinals fell to the Orioles. Lynn walked two and gave up nine hits, including four home runs. His season ERA jumped from 2.69 all the way to 3.33. The 30-year-old right-hander will try to bounce back next time out against the Pirates, a much more familiar foe.
