Phillies vs. Diamondbacks Prediction
With Robbie Ray on the mound, will the Diamondbacks rebound with a victory over the Phillies at 10:10PM ET tonight?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Diamondbacks are -210 money line favorites to knock off the Phillies, who are +190 to pull off another upset. With Ben Lively set to face Ray in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 9.5 runs.

From Rotoworld: Lively overcame a rough first inning to log a quality start on Sunday, allowing three runs on eight hits over six innings against the Diamondbacks. The rookie right-hander struck out six on the day while walking just one. He rebounded from a rough first inning in which Paul Goldschmidt blasted a two-run homer and Chris Owings followed with a solo shot, settling in nicely afterwards and allowing his team to catch up. Through his first four starts, Lively owns a 3.33 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 11/8 K/BB ratio across 27 innings.
Ray wasn’t at his best on Sunday, allowing four runs on eight hits over 5 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Phillies. The left-hander punched out seven on the day while issuing four free passes. It was the long ball that did him in on Sunday, with Aaron Altherr and Maikel Franco each clubbing homers against him. Ray had been pitching out of his mind lately, with a 5-0 record and 0.24 ERA over his last five starts, so something had to give eventually. He’ll bring an oustanding 2.87 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 114/39 K/BB ratio into a rematch against these same Phillies in Arizona on Saturday.
Bet Tonight’s Phillies vs. Diamondbacks Game
OUR PREDICTION: The Diamondbacks have been an excellent play when Ray takes the hill. They’re 6-0 in his last six starts, are 4-0 in his last four outings versus an opponent with a losing record, and are 3-16 in their last 52 home games. The Phillies are a perfect 5-0 in their last five games in Arizona after winning last night, but they’re just 13-38 in their last 51 road games and have dropped 39 of their last 52 games overall. I don’t like their chances to win back-to-back games on the road.
SATURDAY MLB PREDICTION: ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS -1.5 (-105)
