From Rotoworld: Cobb pitched seven innings of two-run ball to earn a win over the Reds on Tuesday. Cobb’s ERA is still suffering because manager Kevin Cash left him in to give up nine runs in Seattle earlier this month, but he’s turned in three straight quality starts since. He’s 6-5 with a 4.05 ERA.
Williams gave up three runs in six-plus innings versus the Brewers on Wednesday. He struck out seven batters against two walks while surrendering six base knocks in the quality start. He held his opponents to just one run through six innings but then allowed the first two hitters of the seventh inning to reach base before being relieved. Both of those runners came around to score against the bullpen. Williams has made nine starts and six relief appearances while struggling to a 5.09 ERA in 58 1/3 innings. He makes for a risky play next week even though he will likely get two starts.
