From Rotoworld: Pomeranz yielded an unearned run over five innings Tuesday in a win over the Twins. The Red Sox took a chance in bringing Pomeranz back following a lengthy rain delay in the third. It not for the W, Pomeranz probably would have been pulled in the fifth after the first three reached (albeit one on an error and another on an infield single). Still, he got through the frame and improved to 7-4 on the year. He’s allowed two runs or fewer in 12 of 15 starts
Biagini struggled again in Tuesday’s loss to the Orioles, surrendering three runs on five hits over 5 1/3 innings of work. The right-hander also issued four walks while striking out three on the night. The big blow against him came on a two-run double by Mark Trumbo in the first inning. Biagini settled in nicely afterwards, but the damage had already been done. He’ll carry a 4.50 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 56/18 K/BB ratio into a difficult matchup against the Red Sox at home on Sunday.
