Clevinger took a loss after giving up three runs in 6 2/3 innings against the Athletics on Wednesday. He struck out seven batters but was burned by a pair of Chad Pinder home runs. Clevinger has been strong since joining the Indians’ rotation, posting a 3.10 ERA with 32 strikeouts in 29 innings of work. The Indians have chosen to demote Danny Salazar to the bullpen and keep Clevinger in the rotation when Corey Kluber comes off the disabled list tomorrow. Clevinger notched a 1.50 ERA in six minor league starts earlier this year. (Rotoworld)
Senzatela took his second loss after giving up four runs in five innings Wednesday against the Mariners. Senzatela has struggled in his last two road starts, and he currently has a 4.18 ERA in five outings away from Coors, compared to a 3.00 ERA in six starts at home. Those splits probably won’t hold up.
