NATIONALS KEY TRENDS: After beating the Mets last night in New York, the Nationals have won seven consecutive games and six in a row on the road. They’re also 4-1 in their last five road games versus an opponent with a home winning percentage of greater than .600 and are 5-1 in their last six games versus a starter with a WHIP greater than 1.30.
ROCKIES KEY TRENDS: The Rockies are just 1-7 in Anderson’s last eight starts and are winless at 0-4 in his last four outings after allowing two runs or less in their previous game (Colorado shut out San Francisco 8-0 on Sunday). The Rockies are also 1-6 in Anderson’s last seven starts when he’s coming off of four days of rest.
Bet Tonight’s Nationals vs. Rockies Game
OUR PICK: I don’t care that the Nationals are one of the hottest teams in baseball, the situation tonight is horrible for Washington. The club just played in New York last night and then had to travel nearly cross-country to play in Denver tonight. It’s insane. The MLB schedule-makers did Washington zero favors and besides, the Rockies are hot themselves. They swept the Giants and are 6-1 in their last seven games overall. The underdog Rockies should be (should be!) a gift for bettors.
