Anderson (knee) allowed three earned runs, five hits and two walks over 5 2/3 innings while striking out eight batters in a loss against the Dodgers on Saturday. Anderson, who had his last started push back due to left knee inflammation, did not seem to have any ill effects of the injury. He is 1-1 with a 3.09 ERA in two May starts after posting a 1-3 record and 7.71 ERA in six outings in the month of April. Slowly but surely he is showing some better results, but he’ll need at least two or three more decent outings before fantasy owners can trust him again. (From Rotoworld)
Bonilla allowed three runs in a complete game loss to the Giants on Saturday. He gave up six hits and two walks while striking out five in the eight-inning complete game. He gave up solo home runs to Brandon Belt in the first inning and Justin Ruggiano in the second. The third run came on an infield single in the seventh frame. It was his first start of the season. The complete game came at a great time considering the Reds used up their bullpen in a 17-inning game on Friday night.
