His effort was all the more impressive considering it came against the best team in the American League. He gave up just four hits and one walk while throwing 103 pitches in the gem. His record improves to 8-6 with a 3.17 ERA through 16 starts. He has 107 strikeouts and 30 walks in 99 1/3 innings. He lines up for two starts next week, although one of them will be in Coors Field against the Rockies.

Nolasco allowed three runs in 6 2/3 innings and was charged with a loss to the Indians on Wednesday. He gave up nine base hits, including a solo home run by rookie outfielder Bradly Zimmer leading off the first inning. Nolasco struck out four and issued two walks in the quality start. He falls to 4-12 with a 5.07 ERA and 1.39 WHIP. He has a 96/33 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 119 innings over 21 starts.
