From Rotoworld: Davies took home a win against the Marlins despite allowing four runs in six innings on Saturday. He gave up two runs in the first inning on a double by Justin Bour, then gave up two more in the third on RBI hits by Marcell Ozuna and Martin Prado. He surrendered five hits and two walks while fanning five in the sub-par effort. Davies has nine wins against four losses even though he sports an ugly 5.03 ERA after 17 starts. He has a weak 60/30 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 91 1/3 innings.
Montgomery suffered his second straight loss after giving up four runs in 6 2/3 innings Friday against the Reds. The big blow was a three-run homer off the bat of Adam Duvall in the fourth inning. It was just the third home run allowed by Montgomery all season. The southpaw fanned seven and walked a pair in the loss. He’ll bring a 2.80 ERA into a projected start against the Brewers next week.
