According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, this game is considered even, as both the Brewers and Diamondbacks are listed with odds of -110 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 8.5 runs. These two have yet to meet this season.

The pitching matchup for tonight’s game has Robbie Ray (3-3, 3.91 ERA) on the mound for Arizona to face Zach Davies (5-2, 5.44) of the Brewers. Ray is coming off a great outing, where he went 7.2-scoreless-innings, allowing just two hits with six strikeouts. He now has 65 strikeouts this season and a WHIP of 1.32. Davies has been somewhat consistent lately despite not lasing deep into games. He hasn’t given up more than two earned runs in four of his last five starts, but hasn’t gotten into the seventh inning in any of them. He has a WHIP of 1.66 on the year.
Arizona is coming off a three-game sweep of the White Sox at home and the Diamondbacks have won eight of their last nine games. Arizona is 29-19 overall and 8-11 on the road. The D’Backs put up 5.08 runs per game while allowing just 3.96 per contest. Paul Goldschmidt is leading the team with 11 home runs and 37 RBI while hitting .324. Jake Lamb has been providing plenty of power as well, posting 13 home runs with 40 RBI this season.
Milwaukee suffered a pair of losses to Toronto at home and the Brewers have lost three straight coming into today’s game. Milwaukee is now 25-21 overall and 12-13 at home. The Brewers average 5.22 runs per contest, but allow 4.74. Eric Thames is leading Milwaukee this season with a .302 average, 13 home runs and 26 RBI. Travis Shaw has added 13 doubles, nine home runs and 34 RBI.
Bet on Diamondbacks vs. Brewers
Milwaukee is at home, but Arizona is rolling along. The Brewers are coming off a pair of losses at home already this week, so Arizona shouldn’t have any trouble getting a win tonight. Ray is coming off a promising start. He is facing a tough lineup today, but he has plenty of run support behind him. I think Ray will fare better than Davies and Arizona will continue its hot streak.
