The pitching matchup today has Danny Salazar (5-6, 4.52 ERA) on the mound to face Parker Bridwell (8-2, 3.71) of the Angels. Salazar has been pitching in relief lately, allowing four runs over his last 3.2 innings of work. Salazar has 132 strikeouts with 41 walks this season and a 1.38 WHIP. Bridwell has allowed just two runs over his last two starts. He has 68 strikeouts with 25 walks and a 1.25 WHIP.

The Indians have won the first two games of this series, 6-3 on Tuesday and 6-5 on Wednesday. The Indians have won all five meetings with the Angels this year. The Indians are now 95-57 on the season and 50-27 on the road. The Angels are 76-75 overall and 41-36 at home.

Cleveland just held off Los Angeles on Wednesday, never trailing in the game, while never leading by more than a run at the end of any inning. Both bullpens struggled, as each allowed at least three runs over four innings. Francisco Lindor connected on his 31st home run of the season to lead the Indians while Albert Pujols homered for the Angels.

Bet on Indians vs. Angels

Salazar hasn’t been great, but he is pitching for a hot lineup and has a great bullpen behind him. Bridwell posted a 4.64 ERA in August and has a 4.80 ERA in September. Bridwell is also worse at home, posting a 4.11 ERA over nine starts. Cleveland is just too hot to ignore. The Indians look as good as anyone has this season and they aren’t a large favorite. Stick with the Tribe to win again.
