Mets vs. Braves Game 2 Prediction
Will the over cash tonight when the Braves host the Mets at 6:00PM ET in the second game of Saturday’s double-header?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Mets are -133 money line favorites to beat the Braves, who have +120 odds to pull off the upset. With Steven Matz set to face Matt Wisler in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 9.5 runs.

Latest from Rotoworld: Matz will obviously hold down a rotation spot for as long as he can stay healthy, while Lugo could potentially transition to the bullpen after next weekend depending on how things go in Atlanta. Gsellman holds a 2.95 ERA over his last three starts, so the desire to replace him in the rotation would seem to be less urgent than it was a couple weeks ago. Tyler Pill is also currently occupying a rotation spot, but he’ll be sent down or move to long relief after Sunday’s outing versus the Pirates. Matz and Lugo have both been out all season with elbow injuries.
Wisler will make a spot start as the 26th man in Saturday’s doubleheader against the Mets. Wisler holds a 7.00 ERA in six relief appearances (nine innings) this season at the major league level and makes for a lousy fantasy streaming option. It might actually be smart to stack against him. Sean Newcomb, a promising 23-year-old pitching prospect, is going to start the other game for the Braves.
