From Rotoworld: Bailey (elbow) is expected to start against the Nationals on Saturday. Bailey threw a bullpen session on Wednesday and had previously posted a 1.08 ERA and 17/3 K/BB ratio in three minor league rehab starts covering 16 2/3 innings. He is on the mend from elbow surgery which he underwent over the winter. Since 2015, Bailey has made just eight total starts. He had logged sub-4.00 ERAs in each of the three seasons prior to 2015.
Ross yielded four runs — two earned — over six innings Sunday in a loss to the Mets. Ross walked one and gave up nine hits, including a home run to opposing starter Jacob deGrom in the bottom of the third inning. The young right-hander owns an ugly 5.98 ERA and 1.55 WHIP in nine starts this season for Washington. A start at home against the Reds comes next.
