White Sox vs. Royals Prediction

Will the over cash tonight when the Royals host the White Sox at 8:15PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Royals are -174 money line favorites to beat the White Sox, who have odds of +164 to pull off the upset in Kansas City tonight. With Reynaldo Lopez set to face Jason Hammel in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 9 runs.

From Rotoworld: Lopez fell to 0-3 despite limiting the Indians to one run in six innings on Wednesday. Along with the lack of any offensive support, Lopez was also let down by his defense tonight, making his outing particularly impressive. He’s given the White Sox three quality starts in four tries since his callup.

Hammel beat the Tigers by allowing two runs in six innings on Wednesday.

He struck out six batters, issued two walks and surrendered nine base hits. He did a good job of keeping the Tigers off the scoreboard until his teammates started piling on the run support in the late innings. Hammel was facing a weak lineup considering the Tigers were without the likes of Miguel Cabrera (suspension), J.D. Martinez (trade), Justin Upton (trade), Alex Avila (trade), Jose Iglesias (bench) and Victor Martinez (disabled list) but he pitched well nonetheless. He improves to 8-10 with a 4.73 ERA on the season.

Bet Today’s White Sox vs. Royals Game

OUR PREDICTION: The over has been a great bet recently in Royals games, cashing in five of Kansas City’s last seven contests. It is also 8-3 in the Royals’ last 11 divisional games and 5-1 in Hammels’ last six starts overall.  On the other side, the over is a near-perfect 3-0-1 in the White Sox’ last four games.
