From Rotoworld: Stephenson walked seven while allowing three runs over 4 1/3 innings in a loss to the Marlins on Thursday. Stephenson didn’t get punished for his mistakes, with the Marlins pushing across just three runs, but the wildness served to abbreviate the right-hander’s night at the very least. He’s now been relatively ineffective in both starts since being recalled earlier this month. Stephenson owns a 7.86 ERA in 34 1/3 innings this year heading into Wednesday’s start against the Pirates.
Williams allowed one run on five hits over six innings while taking a no-decision in Wednesday’s loss to the Giants. Williams struck out two and walked three on the afternoon. The lone run to score on his watch came when Brandon Crawford hit into an RBI fielder’s choice in the first inning. Up next on the docket for Williams, a home start against the Reds. He will carry a 4.53 ERA and 1.32 WHIP into that contest.
