Can the Cincinnati Reds pick up another upset win at home when they take on the Cleveland Indians tonight at 7:10PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Indians are the favorite on the road, as they are getting odds of -165 to win. The Reds are listed with a money line of +150 to prevail, while the over/under total for the game is set at 8.5 runs.

The pitching matchup for today’s game has Carlos Carrasco (4-2, 2.60 ERA) on the mound for the Indians to face Amir Garrett (3-3, 5.18) of the Reds. Garrett has had two really poor outings make his numbers look really bad. He is coming off a 6-run outing where he lasted just four innings. He has 18 walks with 33 strikeouts and a WHIP of 1.30. Carrasco is coming off his worst outing of the season, allowing 5 runs in just 3.2 innings. He has 52 strikeouts this year with just 11 walks and a WHIP of only 0.88.
Cincinnati opened the series on Monday with a 5-1 win on the road. That snapped a six-game losing streak to its in-state interleague rival. The Reds are now 21-23 overall and 14-12 overall. Cleveland is now 23-20 overall and 15-10 on the road.
The Reds had a great pitching performance on Monday. Scott Feldman last 6 innings, allowing just one run with nine strikeouts. The Cincy bullpen then pitched three scoreless innings. Josh Tomlin last 6.1 innings, but allowed all five of the Reds’ runs in the process. Zack Cozart and Tucker Barnhart both drove in two runs for the Reds. Scott Schebler added his 13th home run of the season in the victory.
The Reds got what they needed on the mound on Monday, but I don’t think that will happen tonight. Garrett hasn’t been terrible in most starts, but can explode quickly. I think he will struggle again tonight. Carrasco is coming off his worst showing of the season last week, so I think he should bounce back today against a rival. Look for plenty of strikeouts today.
