Twins vs. Giants Prediction
Will the Twins sweep the struggling Giants at AT&T Park with a victory today at 4:05PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Giants are -117 money line favorites versus the Twins, who have odds of +107 to pull off the upset in San Francisco. With Matt Cain set to face Nik Turley in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 8.5 runs.

Rotoworld on Turley: Turley will make his major league debut on Sunday versus the Giants. Turley has registered a promising 2.05 ERA and 85/14 K/BB ratio in 52 2/3 innings this season between the Double-A and Triple-A affiliates of the Twins. The former 50th-round draft pick will finally get a shot at the major league level after bouncing around the minors and independent ball for nearly a decade.
Cain surrendered five runs and 10 hits in five innings Tuesday in a loss to the Brewers. Cain hasn’t been able to maintain his strong April performance, going 1-5 with a 6.75 ERA in his last seven starts. He has a 20/18 K/BB ratio over 37 1/3 innings during that span. If the Giants were in contention and had a healthy Madison Bumgarner, they might have been willing to move on from Cain at this point. As is, they don’t have any great reason to make a change until Bumgarner returns or someone in the minors starts banging down the door.
Bet Today’s Twins vs. Giants Game
OUR PREDICTION: Cain has been a disaster of late but he’s a different pitcher at home compared to on the road. He held a tough Nationals’ lineup to three runs (two earned) on eight hits in his last start at AT&T Park, and went seven innings while holding the Braves to two runs (one earned) in the previous start in San Francisco. The Giants have been horrible, but with Turley making his major league debut, I’m buying low on the home team.
