Reds vs. Rockies Prediction
Will the under cash tonight at 8:10PM ET when the Rockies host the Reds at Coors Field?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Rockies are -155 money line favorites versus the Reds, who have odds of +135 to pull off the upset in Denver. With Homer Bailey set to face Kyle Freeland in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 13 runs.

From Rotoworld: Bailey allowed six runs, including three home runs, over three innings in a loss to the Brewers on Thursday. He really lived up to his name in this one, folks, am I right? But seriously, he was terrible, serving up solo homers to Ryan Braun, Manny Pina and Jonathan Villar before exiting. In two starts he’s now given up 14 runs while recording just 14 outs, a bad ratio for a pitcher. The Reds have a lot invested in the 31-year-old and have few designs on contending in 2017, so they’ll stay the course in hopes that he can knock some of the rust off and rediscover a previous form. Unfortunately, a visit to the Rockies on Tuesday doesn’t bode well for the near term.
Freeland surrendered four runs on seven hits over six innings in Wednesday’s loss to the Giants. Freeland struck out two and walked one on the afternoon. Three of the four runs on his line scored via the home run, as Nick Hundley burned him for a two-run shot in the fourth inning and Jae-gyun Hwang roughed him up with a solo shot in the sixth. Freeland will carry a 3.84 ERA and 1.45 WHIP into a home start against the Reds next time he toes the rubber.
Bet Tonight’s Reds vs. Rockies Game
OUR PREDICTION: Even with the total sitting at 13 runs, I can’t roll the dice on the under. Not with Bailey on the hill. The over is 10-4-1 in the last 15 meetings between these two teams in Colorado and is 4-1 in the last five meetings overall. Bailey has pitched twice this year and allowed eight runs and six runs, respectively. Now he’s pitching at hitter-friendly Coors Field and the over is just too tempting.
