White Sox vs. Red Sox Pick
Will the Chicago White Sox and Boston Red Sox put up another big run total when they meet again tonight at 7:10PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Boston is favored at home tonight, as the Red Sox are getting odds of -210 to win, while the White Sox are getting a money line of +185 to prevail. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 9.5 runs.

The pitching matchup tonight has Carlos Rodon (1-4, 5.23 ERA) on the mound for the White Sox to face Eduardo Rodriguez (4-3, 4.16) of the Red Sox. Rodon has pitched in six games this year, allowing 18 earned runs over 31 innings with 40 strikeouts and 20 walks. His WHIP is 1.65. Rodriguez has allowed at least three runs in his last four starts. He has 84 strikeouts with 30 walks and a 1.30 WHIP.
The Red Sox opened the weekend series with a 9-5 win on Thursday. Boston improved to 60-49 overall, 32-30 at home and 56-49 with the under this season. Chicago is now 41-65 overall, 20-36 on the road and 53-49 with the over.
Thursday’s game saw plenty of runs early as Boston had seven over the first two innings and Chicago had five after three. Rick Porcello got his fifth win despite allowing five runs in 5.1 innings. Miguel Gonzalez allowed seven runs in 1.2 innings of work to fall to 5-10 on the season. Boston was led by Mookie Betts, who had his 18th home run. Andrew Benintendi had three hits, one RBI and two runs while Hanley Ramirez and Rafael Devers each had two RBI. Chicago was led by Nicky Delmoncio, who had his first home run and drove in three runs.
I was surprised to see these two get past 10 runs on Thursday, but I think they can do it again tonight. Rodon has been giving up runs by the handful while Rodriguez has been consistently allowing multiple runs as well. I could see both offenses starting off hot again. Neither team will be able to dig deep into their bullpen after Thursday’s game either, so the runs should pile up quickly.
