Mejia gave up two runs in five innings and settled for a no-decision against the Rays on Saturday. He pitched well in his fourth major-league start. Both runs were driven in by Rays’ catcher Derek Norris. The first one came on a second-inning single, the second one on a fourth-inning sacrifice fly. Meyer (back) is expected to return to the Angels’ rotation on Thursday against the Twins. Meyer made it through another bullpen session Monday without issue. The right-hander landed on the disabled list May 24, retroactive to May 21, with a back injury. He has a 5.79 ERA and 1.63 WHIP in 23 1/3 innings (five starts) this season for Anaheim.
