From Rotoworld: Volquez fired six innings of one-run ball, but settled for a no-decision Friday against the Brewers. The only run scored on a solo homer from Stephen Vogt in the fifth inning. He left in position for the victory before David Phelps coughed up the lead in the seventh. Volquez struck out four and walked a pair in the no-decision and holds a 3.97 ERA through 16 starts on the year. He’ll wrap up his first half with a start against the Cardinals next week.
Leake limited the Nationals to one run in eight innings as the Cardinals prevailed 8-1 Friday. That’s a lot better. His only strong outing in his previous six starts came against the hapless Phillies. The win tonight was his first since he pitched eight innings of one-run ball to beat the Dodgers on May 24.Bet
