Gallardo is now 1-2 on the year after striking out seven while allowing an earned run on four hits last Sunday against the A’s. He walked one over his 6 1/3 innings of work and produced 15 swing-and-misses. Salazar is also 1-2 on the season following the Indians’ loss to the White Sox last Sunday. He allowed four runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out nine over five frames. He continued to battle command issues in the fifth inning when he threw behind Jose Abreu, the unintentionally hit the slugger. Two batters later, Avisail Garcia crushed a Salazar changeup to centerfield for an RBI double. Salazar now owns a 4.37 ERA over 22 2/3 combined innings.
