From Rotoworld: Tanaka allowed just two runs — one earned — over six innings but took a loss Wednesday versus the Tigers. Tanaka struck out seven and issued just one walk, but he allowed runs in the top of the first and the top of the fourth and he got no support from the Yankees’ offense. The right-hander is now 8-10 on the year with a 4.93 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, and 139/28 K/BB ratio in 129 2/3 innings. Up next is a road start against the Blue Jays.
Tepesch will be called up from Triple-A Buffalo to start Wednesday against the Yankees. Tepesch, acquired from the Twins last month for cash considerations, holds a 4.69 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, and 137/73 K/BB ratio in 224 2/3 career innings at the major league level. The 28-year-old right-hander is not a recommended fantasy streaming option versus the Bronx Bombers.
