From Rotoworld: Pomeranz allowed just one run and struck out eight batters over 6 1/3 innings to earn a 4-1 win over the White Sox on Saturday. He allowed a home run to the first batter of the game, Tim Anderson, but settled down quickly and was marvelous throughout the rest of his outing. He allowed seven hits and one walk while his record improved to 11-4 with a 3.36 ERA in 22 starts.
Severino limited the Indians to one run on two hits over 6 2/3 innings Sunday in the Yankees’ 8-1 victory. He also issued just one walk while striking out nine Cleveland hitters. Severino gave up a solo homer to Michael Brantley in the bottom of the first inning but was dominant from there, moving to 9-4 on the season with a 2.91 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, and 162/36 K/BB ratio over 139 1/3 innings. The young right-hander will try to keep it all working in his next start at home against the rival Red Sox.
