Washington Nationals DFS SPIN
Keibert Ruiz went 3-for-3 with a homer, a double and a walk Monday in the Nationals’ 7-5 takedown of the Cubs. Ruiz has homered in back-to-back games. He also wanted a steal in back-to-back games, but after getting his first of the year on Sunday, he was picked off by Drew Smyly tonight. If Ruiz is going to continue to be active on the basepaths, there’s the chance he’ll be a top-10 fantasy catcher the rest of the way. He had six steals last year before going 74 games without a single attempt this season.
Chicago Cubs DFS SPIN
Nico Hoerner went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts in the loss to the Nationals on Monday. Hoerner is just 8-for-57 this month, leaving him at .267/.318/.372 for the season. He’ll surely remain a lineup fixture for the Cubs, but it might be time to try someone different in the leadoff spot. Hoerner probably wouldn’t mind; he’s done all of his best work with men on base this year anyway.

Nationals vs. Cubs MLB BETTING PREDICTION
I’m taking the over. Jameson Taillon is coming off his best outing as a Cub but he’s been a disaster at Wrigley Field this season, where he’s 1-4 with a 7.41 ERA in eight outings this season. He’s only completed more than 5 1/3 innings once in a those eight outings and has allowed six home runs in his last four starts at Wrigley Field. Meanwhile, the Nationals will counter with Patrick Corbin, who hasn’t been good since 2019.
