The big news surrounding the Mets right now is the health status of starter Jacob deGrom, who is expected to throw a bullpen session today in St. Lucie. According to beat writer Adam Rubin of ESPN New York, deGrom will be placed on the disabled list if today’s session doesn’t go well. He has already missed one start because of lat tightness and the team will need to make a move if deGrom has to miss another outing. Logan Verrett would take deGrom’s place in the rotation if the latter needs to go on the DL.
