Mets vs. Indians Pick
The Mets will try for their third consecutive win today when they visit the Indians at 4:10PM ET but that would require a struggling Matt Harvey to pitch well.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Mets are -127 money line favorites versus the Indians, who have odds of +107 as a home underdog. With Harvey set to face Josh Tomlin in the pitching matchup, the over/under for today’s game sits at 7 runs.
Bet Today’s Mets vs. Indians Game
Alejandro De Aza went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in the Mets’ 6-5 win over the Indians on Friday night. New York had just two home runs over its first eight games this season but managed to hit four long balls against Cleveland. De Aza had been 0-for-7 over the first week of the season but got a chance to start in centerfield while Yoenis Cespedes served as the DH and the outfielder had a nice night.
Juan Uribe also had a 3-for-4 night and also walked in the Indians’ loss. He was just 1-for-19 on the year before Friday night and then tore up his former team. It would appear that Uribe will hold off Giovanny Urshela for the starting third base job for now, as the latter isn’t exactly tearing up minor league pitching yet.

OUR PICK: The Mets are now 0-4 in Harvey’s last four starts and 0-5 in his last five interleague starts dating back to last season. They’re also 1-4 in his last five starts following a quality start in his last appearance and winless at 0-4 in his last four starts versus the AL Central. On the other side, the Indians have won four of Tomlin’s last five home starts and are 8-1 in his last nine starts overall so look for Cleveland to end New York’s modest two-game win streak.
