Michael Saunders went 2-for-3 with two doubles, a walk and a run scored in Wednesday’s victory over the Yankees. The outfielder is now hitting .280/.357/.520 on the year and is off to a nice start to the new season.
Marcus Stroman will take the hill tonight for Toronto after allowing five runs over 5 1/3 innings against the Red Sox last Friday. He allowed two runs over the first five innings before Boston got to him in the sixth. Stroman also struck out four and walked three batters while owning a 5.40 ERA through his first two starts to the season.

OUR PICK: The Blue Jays are 6-1 in Stroman’s last seven starts versus American League East and 5-1 in his last six starts versus a team with a winning record. Toronto has also won eight of Stroman’s last 10 starts overall and is 9-3 in its last 12 home starts. He should out-duel Yankees’ starter Nathan Eovaldi.
