Oakland A’s Fantasy Spin
Matt Olson went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run in Sunday’s win over the White Sox. Olson’s two-run home run off Lucas Giolito in the fourth inning proved to be utterly pivotal, as those two runs would be the only ones scored by either team in the contest. On the whole this summer, the 25-year-old first baseman is hitting .257/.344/.524 with 23 home runs and 52 RBI in 84 games. He has clocked at least 20 home runs in each of the last three seasons. With a nice power groove over the last month-and-a-half of the campaign, Olson has a chance to set a new personal best for home runs in a season. His mark to beat is 29 dingers, set in 2018.
San Francisco Giants Fantasy Spin
Kevin Pillar smacked a go-ahead RBI triple in the eighth inning on Sunday night, propelling the Giants to a 9-6 victory over the Phillies. Pillar delivered an RBI single in the third inning to tie the score at 5-5. He then drove in Evan Longoria with his three-bagger off of Nick Pivetta in the eighth inning, putting the Giants ahead 7-6 — a lead they wouldn’t relinquish. With his 2-for-4 night, Pillar is now slashing .251/.277/.427 with 15 homers, 62 RBI and 10 swipes on the season.
