Can Tigers win back-to-back?
After ending a losing skid last night, can the Detroit Tigers string together wins when they host the Oakland Athletics tonight at 7:10PM ET?
The Tigers have Mike Pelfrey on the mound today to face Rich Hill of the Athletics. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Oakland is the favorite on the road, as the Athletics are getting odds of -115 to win, while the Tigers are getting a money line of +105 to prevail. The over/under total for the contest has been listed at 9 runs.
Detroit is now 9-9 on the season, 3-5 at home and 12-6 with the over. Oakland is 10-10 overall, 7-3 on the road and 11-7-2 with the under. The Tigers were able to take the first game in the series on Monday, 7-3, to snap a four-game losing streak overall and a three-game losing streak to Oakland.

The Tigers got another strong outing from Jordan Zimmerman last night and will need more of the same from Mike Pelfrey, but the Tigers are 0-3 when he has been on the mound this season. Still, the Tigers got even bigger news last night when Miguel Cabrera finally woke up, going 4 for 4 with a pair of home runs. Now, the Tigers predominantly right-handed lineup, faces a lefty in Hill. That should lead to some solid hitting and another win for Detroit.
