San Diego Padres DFS SPIN
Trent Grisham belted a game-tying, two-run home run in the eighth inning of the Padres’ extra-innings loss to the Cardinals on Tuesday. It was a rare big hit for Grisham, who took advantage of a misplaced fastball by Giovanny Gallegos in launching it 427 feet to right field. Grisham has now gone deep twice in his last three games after managing just one dinger in his first 44 contests this season.
St. Louis Cardinals DFS Spin
Albert Pujols hit a walk-off sacrifice fly in the 10th inning of the Cardinals’ win over the Padres on Tuesday. Pujols had a sac fly in the third inning, as well, but he saved his big one for extras. The Padres elected to pitch to the future Hall of Famer after Tommy Edman stole third base to put runners on the corners with one out, and Pujols lined a Taylor Rogers pitch to left field to easily plate the winning run. He’s driven in 15 runs this season, bringing his career RBI total to 2,165.
Padres vs. Cardinals MLB BETTING PREDICTION
The Padres are winless in their last five games versus the Cardinals and are just 14-37 in their last 51 games in St. Louis. The Cardinals, meanwhile, are now 4-0 in their last four games versus the NL West, are 4-1 in their last five games overall and are 18-8 in their last 26 games after allowing two runs or less in their previous contest.
