San Diego Padres DFS SPIN
Michael Wacha was tagged for five runs over four innings on Thursday in a no-decision against the Diamondbacks. Wacha was battered for 10 hits in this one, but somehow none of them left the yard. He finished with three strikeouts and only handed out one free pass. The 31-year-old right-hander will carry a bloated 7.08 ERA, 1.72 WHIP and 18/6 K/BB ratio across 20 1/3 innings (four starts) into a road tilt on Thursday against the Cubs. It’s still a relatively small sample, but the results have not been great so far in his San Diego debut.
Chicago Cubs DFS SPIN
Cubs placed OF Cody Bellinger on the paternity leave list. He’ll be away from the club for at least a couple of days for the birth of his child. If playing in leagues that allow daily lineup moves, be sure to get Bellinger out of there for Tuesday. Nelson Velazquez was recalled from Triple-A Iowa to take his place on the active roster.
